  • 1kg boneless chicken 
  • 1cup of cornflour
  • 3-4 eggs beat thoroughly 
  • Pineapple cubes 1-2cup 
  • One cup of sugar
  • Half cup flour 
  • Red and green bell peppers cut into cubes 2cup
  • Yellow onion 1cup 
  • Reduced sodium soy sauce  5-6 tablespoons 
  • Brown Sugar half cup 
  • Apple cider vinegar half cup
  • 1 tablespoon garlic paste 
  • Tomato ketchup 1 cup and 
  • Oil 

Cooking Procedure 

The preparation of sweet and sour chicken is divided into two steps. One is the preparation of sweet and sour sauce and the other is chicken preparation. 

Crispy Chicken Preparation 

To prepare these crispy chicken bites take the boneless chicken. Breast chicken is best for this purpose. Wash and cut the chicken into 1-inch pieces. Take cornflour in a bowl and add salt, chili flakes, and cumin powder to it. Pour chicken cubes into this bowl and cover all the pieces with corn flour. Take oil in a pan and heat it over medium flame. Now dip the chicken pieces into egg batter and quote with flour. Fry till crispy golden texture. Remove from heat and place all the chicken pieces over cookie paper or you may also use tissue paper. It will absorb the extra oil 

Sweet and Sour Sauce Preparation 

To prepare sauce, take a bowl and mix soya sauce, ketchup, vinegar, both types of sugars, and garlic together. Mix well and keep this mixture aside. Take oil in a pan and heat. Add bell pepper cubes, pineapple, and onion chunks to the oil. Fry these items till soft. Put the sauce mixture into the pan and simmer for 5 minutes. 


In the last step add back the crispy chicken bites into the sauce mixture. Mix it well and cook for 5 minutes. If you love extra spices, you can add 1 tablespoon of peri-peri sauce. It is the best spice booster sauce that you can add to any meal to enhance the spice level.
